My name is Min-Hsueh Chiu. I am an engineer working at the intersection of science and engineering, focused on bridging the gap between research and practical application. With experience in both scientific research and software engineering, I serve as a connector between disciplines, helping translate complex scientific requirements into effective engineering solutions while supporting scientific advancement.
I currently work as a Software Engineer at the Materials Project, a scientific data platform affiliated with Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. My work primarily focuses on developing software infrastructure for materials science simulations, data analysis, and scientific visualization. I collaborate closely with researchers and domain scientists to build tools that support scientific discovery, while ensuring that complex computational workflows are accessible, scalable, and user-friendly.
Previously, I worked as a Research Engineer at the Artificial Intelligence and Complex Systems (AICS) Lab at the Information Sciences Institute, University of Southern California. My works focused on interdisciplinary applications of data science and artificial intelligence, including open-world learning, healthcare, and forensic science.
